Nigerian Army respond to viral video of soldiers complaining about ammunition

The Nigerian Army has removed itself from the ongoing clip of a fighter protesting about the absence of ammunition to battle Boko Haram.


In a clip posted by Reno Omokri on twitter, a gathering of Nigerian fighters were seeing abandoning their base. The fighters who made the clip revealed they were going back home to observe the New Year as they can’t keep on taking a chance with their lives.

Responding to the clip, the Nigerian Army says the clip isn’t a mirror of the genuine condition of fighters fighting the battle against Boko Haram. Read the announcement beneath,

“The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to an old video clip circulating on the social media in which a supposedly soldier clad with an AK-47 rifle alleging lack of arms and ammunition, among other soldiers in a remote location walking. This is not true, as the video was recorded in 2014 and therefore cannot be a true reflection of the present reality. The public are please requested to discontenance the video clip.”
