Tables Turn: Supreme Court Relegates APC In Zamfara As PDP Takes Over State


Following the judgement of the Supreme court on Friday, the APC has lost all political positions earlier won in Zamfara state.

The apex court on Friday sacked the state governor elect and his deputies, the three senators elect, all the seven house of representatives member elect and the twenty four state assembly members elect’

The controversy rocking the leaders of APC could not make them conduct primaries within the stipulated time.


The Supreme Court validated the judgement of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto Division, which ruled that no valid primaries were conducted by the APC in Zamfara State.

“Candidate other than the first appellant with the highest vote stand elected. A cost of N10 million is awarded against the appellant,” the court ruled.

The PDP candidates to have come second in the election could now be declared the elected.
