Odion Jude Ighalo revealed the Super Eagles can have a genuine effect at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
5 goal scored by Ighalo in 2 matches against Libya moved the Super Eagles to post place in the AFCON eligibility arrangement.
Africa’s football administering body, CAF, will choose another host country in January 2019 subsequent to pulling back the facilitating right from Cameroon.
Remarking on the competition, Ighalo says any place it is organized between South Africa & Egypt, the Super Eagles will be prepared.
“Whether the championship is held in Egypt or South Africa, we will be ready,” the China-situated player stated.
“We have the advantage of having been together for some time now, with the bulk of the team having played at the World Cup.”
“Qualifying for the AFCON has also made us believe very much in our ability and of course, the Nigerian Spirit is always there to propel us in difficult times.”

Nigeria has won the Africa Cup of Nations 3 times, One in the country in 1980 & 2 in distant land in Tunisia in 1994 & in South Africa in 2013.
