Arsenal Legendary player, Ian Wright, stated that the club’s manager, Unai Emery made a major mistake in his side’s 1-0 defeat to Everton on Sunday.
A ten minute goal from Phil Jagielka had saw Everton defeat the Gunners at the Goodison Park.
Emery while speaking on the defeat stated that they lost one big opportunity and also didn’t show their best performance.
Wright in his reaction stated that the coach made a mistake in his team selection by not starting Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang against the hosts.
“I was a little bit disappointed with Arsenal’s selection,”.
“They’re in fourth position, no-one would have thought at the start of the season that it would have happened like it has.”
“So it was an opportunity to start Aubameyang, start Lacazette, get Ozil on the pitch, start with Ramsey – get your best players on the pitch and really have a go at Everton.”
“I thought we missed a trick in that respect. In the end, Everton had the impetus…I think it was fortunate that they didn’t get another goal.”
