The former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, on Thursday spoke on his absence during President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to Lagos State.
Recall that President Buhari on Wednesday visited the state to commission some projects, and the absence of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress raised some questions.
Some report had it that Tinubu was absent because the President was not available at the colloquium organised to celebrate his 67th birthday.
The Special Adviser to Tinubu on Media, Tunde Raman, stated that the APC National Leader did not deliberately stay away during the visit of the president to Lagos State.
In his statement to Daily Independent he said, “Tinubu missed the event because he is currently out of the country.”
“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is not in town. He is currently out of the country. That was why he was not present at the occasion, not otherwise.”
