Nigerian Police Takes Over CJN Onnoghen’s Office – The Nigeran police have quite recently closed the workplace of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, who was suspended by President Buhari, last Friday.
In a move that seemed to stop any probability of CJN Onnoghen to getting to the workplace, Punch paper reports that the policemen were said to have fixed the workplace and launched out all managerial staff in the pivot of the National Judicial Council office as ahead of schedule as 7am on Monday.
Sources stated, “The police have sealed the office of the CJN. Officers and men of the Force went to the administrative staff offices at about 7am and ordered clerical and other staff who were already at their desks to leave after which they locked up everywhere.”
It happens as the NJC has settled date for a crisis meeting to ponder on the sudden suspension of CJN Onnoghen and swearing in of Justice Tanko Muhammad as the Acting National Judicial Council by Buhari.
