The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, visited President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Imo State Governor while speaking with state house correspondents after the meeting stated he discussed with President Buhari on the leadership of the 9th National Assembly.
Okorocha stated that he called of the “the top leadership of the ninth National Assembly be zoned to the South-East region of the country.”
“The people of South East are important and should be treated as such.”
“I was also at the Aso Villa to invite the President to Imo to inaugurate some projects before the end of this tenure in the state.”
The Governor spoke on the governorship election in the state which saw the Independent National Electoral Commission declare Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party, winner
He stated that the governorship candidate of PDP did not win the election
On the issue of his senatorial ambition, Okorocha added that INEC would issue him his certificate of return.
