Accord Party Chairman, Ehichanya Decamps To APC In Abia State

The Senatorial candidate of the Accord Party in Abia state, Obinnaya Ehichanya has decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Ehichanya stated that he defected to the party with hundreds of his supporters across the six local government areas in Abia central senatorial district.

While speaking with journalists at the Uchechukwu Ogah Governorship Campaign office, in Umuahia, on Thursday, he gave his reason for joining APC as they believe in the capacity of the APC governorship candidate (Ogah) to turn around the state for better.

Ehichanya regretted that Abia state is the least in terms of infrastructural development among the comity of states.

He called on the people of the state to support the candidacy of Ogah in the forthcoming election so as to deliver the state from bad governance.

“I must tell them it’s a new dawn. It doesn’t matter what party affiliation you are when you see an individual that has purpose line up behind him”.

“I want to say to all and sundry that, Abia will be good again, Ogah is the one to follow”.

The Abia central zonal chairman of the APC, Owobe Okechukwu, while welcoming the defectors thanked them for their courage to identify with the progressives.

He called on them to work hard for the success of APC in the forthcoming March 9 governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
