Adeye Mathias Unimke, the penultimate student of University of Calabar (UNICAL)has been awarded indefinite suspension by authority.
Mr Unimke, a student of Department of Education Administration and Planning suspended for involvement in cult activities.
He seized to be a student till further notice.
This was contained in a statement by Moses Abang, the University’s Registrar.
He said: “the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, Prof. Zana Akpagu approved the immediate suspension of the student and will remain suspended pending the conclusion of investigation by the Institution’s Students’ Disciplinary Committee.”
“The University warned the student to stay away from the campus except or unless responding to invitation by the Disciplinary Committee.”
Vice Chancellor of the university had reiterated at various fora that there is no room for cultists in the University.”
