Between Sunday and Tuesday, unknown gunmen have kidnapped 27 Nigerians from Edo, Kaduna, Ekiti and Osun States
On Sunday, Kelvin Izevbekhai, a lecturer at the Igbinedion University, Okada, in Edo State was kidnapped and killed by gunmen. Other four were rescued by police.
In Kaduna, a pastor of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), and 14 others were kidnapped. The abductors are demanding N30 million ransom
In Ekiti, Kehinde and Taiwo Olowoafara in Ekiti State while they were travelling on Sunday. It happened after Ayo Oladele, he General Secretary of the Alumni Association of Christ School, Ado Ekiti, was kidnapped.
The kidnappers are asking for N22 million.
Two officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and two villagers were abdcuted in Osun on Monday. The FRSC officials kidnappers are demanding N1 million.
President Muhammadu Buhari was recently criticised by many Nigerians after he joked about the security situation.
Mr Buhari said the Inspector General of police is losing weight because of security issues.
