President Muhammadu Buhari was on Monday paid a visit by the Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi ast the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The Governor visited President Buhari barely 24 hours after the Presidency distanced itself from the activities of the Independent National Electoral Commission during the re-run elections.
Abdullahi while speaking with state house correspondents after the closed door meeting with Buhari stated that the course of the meeting was to get the president aware of the political development in Bauchi State.
He stated that the position of the electoral body regarding the result of the state governorship election can cause violence in the state.
INEC last decided to resume the collation of the governorship election result in the state.
This is contrary to the commission’s early decision to declare the election in the state inconclusive.
