President Muhammadu Buhari has asked the Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Suleiman Hassan to assume responsibility of the Environment Ministry following the relinquishment of responsibility by Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibril.
Suleiman Hassan who comes from Gombe state, was ordered to assume the Environment Ministry at yesterday’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting directed by the President.
A presidential source communicate to newsmen last evening that Hassan has been solicited to promptly assume responsibility of the Environment Ministry.
“Yes, it is the Minister of State Power, Works and Housing II, Suleiman Hassan that has been asked to takeover the Environment Ministry,” he stated.
Recollect that Jibril’s withdrawal came days after his rise as Emir of Nasarawa.
Jibril was choosed as the Minister of State for Environment in December 2015 when the committee was established after a senate screening & affirmation.
