All Progressives Congress National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, has stated that the party in not in alignment with the Rivers State chapter of the African Action Congress.
The former Edo state governor stated this while speaking on Channels Tv’s interview programme, Hard Copy which is hosted by Maupe Yusuf.
He claimed that his party’s national working committed is not aware of any alignment with AAC.
Recall that the supreme court stopped APC from fielding in candidate for the Rivers state governorship election.
However, the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi stated that APC will support Awara Biokpomabo, the governorship candidate of AAC.
Amaechi had said, “This morning, the leadership of the party met and agreed that we would work with a party called African Action Congress (AAC), while we are still in court to reclaim our mandate.”
The Party’s chairman, however, denied such claim stated that it has never discussed such with him.
“I have never spoken at any forum that we have aligned with any party. There is only one party (I oversee) and that is APC, if there is going to be alignment, I will know.”
“I can’t choose to be in the know. That has never been discussed with me or with any of the members of the national working committee.”
