The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has expressed that enlistment & the delivery of new international passport would cost Nigerians N70,000.

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari & his deputy, Yemi Osinbajo had been on the fifteenth of January received 10-year diplomatic identification by the Nigeria Immigration service.

The travel papers were delivered by the Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau & the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, Mohammed Babandede.

Delivery of the international ID will begin in Ikoyi in Lagos on March 25, Kano on April 1, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos on April 8 & London, United Kingdom April 15.

Nevertheless, NIS representative said the current passport booklet will run simultaneously with the new upgraded international ID booklet until the previous lapses.

As per James, the benefits of the new international ID incorporates its 10-year legitimacy, self-following of use & fast centres for immediate request.
