Mikel Obi has ended his agreement with Chinese club Tianjin Teda, just about 12 months before the arrangement he had with the club going to end.
The Super Eagles captain who is looking for a move back to Europe for family reasons did not go with the Tianjin Teda first-teamers to Spain for pre-season preparation as he is said to be consulting with the club to end the agreement.
In a conversation with Tianjin TV Sports New Vision program, Mikel stated:
“I broke the contract with the club, which means I will leave Teda. As for my next stop, I am not sure yet, maybe I will return to Europe, maybe stay in China. Anyway, I would like to wish the TEDA team good luck next season.”
