Ahead of the governorship election in Kogi state and Bayelsa State, the Independent National Electoral Commission, has fixed the elections in the state for November 2.
The chairman of INEC’s information and voters education committee, Festus Okoye, revealed this development on Tuesday.
The governorship election in Kogi state which took place on November 22, 2015 was declared inconclusive, and a supplementary election had to be carried out.
Following the re-run, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, was declared the winner of the election after scoring 247,752 votes, while the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party scored 204,877 votes.
The governorship election in Bayelsa State which took place on December 5, was also declared inconclusive.
