Former Jigawa governor, ex-commissioners dump PDP for APC

Erstwhile Governor of Jigawa State, Ali Sa’adu, was in the midst of rival lawmakers who absconded to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.

5 previous commisioners who served under previous governor Sule Lamido were additionally among the deserter.

Lamido governed as an individual from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a gathering he still direct in the state.

The APC national director, Adams Oshiomole, while accepting the deserters expressed that there is a culture of correspondence in the APC where the founders of the party & freshers are dealt with similarly without special treatment.

Oshiomhole said he trusts that with the deserting of these identities & a large number of their supporters, the PDP is lifeless in Jigawa.

Oshiomhole was represented by deputy national director of APC, Niyi Adebayo.

The ex-officials that declared their desertion from the PDP are Auwalu Harbo of special duties; Jinjiri Dutse of rural infrastructure; Nasidi Ali of Agriculture; Fatima Jalo woam affairs & Yakubu Ruba, the then attorney general & equity chief.

Other best legislators that joined the APC comprises of previous administrator representing Dutse/Kiyawa federal constituency & PDP governorship hopeful, Ibrahim Tijjani; a party chieftain, Danladi Auyo; and Ahmed Rufai. Rufai was an aspirant for the House of Representatives & is the spouse to ex-minister of education, Rukayya Rufai.

In his comments, the National Secretary of APC, Maimala Buni, said the deserting saw in Jigawa does not come as an amazement but as a result of the judicious method of organization of President Muhammadu Buhari & Governor Mohammad Badaru.

He said Jigawa, as other North-west states were safe places of the APC.

President Buhari won all the North-west states in the 2015 presidential race. All the 7 states in the zone were, until the current abandonment of Governor Aminu Tambuwal, administered by the APC.

In his comments, Governor Badaru derided the PDP presidential campaign, saying just a single page of its 53-page approach report was given to farming.

At the occasion, an election campaign board of trustees for the APC was initiated.

Ahmad Mahmud was named the executive of the panel.

Mahmud, a previous deputy governor, was entrusted to guarantee the triumph of Buhari & Badaru; and in addition all other APC competitors.
