Following the intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari to end the saga between Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano State and Muhammadu Sanusi II, Emir of Kano, there are indication that duo might have reconciled.
This is coming after the state government has issue a query to Mr Sanusi to respond to alleged misappropriation of the emirate’s finances which amount to N3.4 billion.
While the details of the meeting that held to resolve the crisis in Abuja on Friday is yet to be made available to public, Hynaija gathered that the duo have agreed to “sheath the sword for the interest of Kano as well as to de-escalate tension and prevent break down of law and order.”
“All I can tell you is that the meeting is positive. The parties have agreed to work together in the interest of peace, stability and progress of Kano. The president will be briefed on the outcome of the meeting. Alhamdulillah the emir and the governor are no more quarreling”, a source close to the presidency told Daily Nigerian.
