The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has revealed that his victory in the governorship election in the state was not with the aid of any godfather but with the votes and support of the people of the state.
The governor-elect made this claim when he inaugurated his legal team headed by Chris Uche (SAN), with over 50 senior lawyers ready to defend his mandate at the election tribunal.
He said, “I didn’t have the federal might, I didn’t have the money, I didn’t have godfathers but I have good people of Bauchi and I won it.”
“To some, it is a miracle but to me, I know that God has the power to do anything. We are ready to go through the process (litigations). I know that only God determines who goes to the government house; Bauchi people have spoken and I appreciate the support they gave me,”.
He called on Chris Uche to use his wealth of knowledge to defend the mandate that was given to him by the people of the state.
The governor-elect promised that he would provide good governance through an all-inclusive government.
Recall that Hy Naija reported that Bala won the governorship election in Bauchi state having defeated that state Governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
