Anti-graft agencies harassing our governors – PDP

The National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Monday said the gathering’s governors are being intimidated by the anti-graft organizations in front of the 2019 polls.


Ologbondiyan, who revealed this in Lagos, noted that regardless of the intimidation the governors had set out to work for the achievement of the PDP in the poll.

In spite of the fact that he didn’t give the names of the exacts governors that had been intimidated, Ologbondiyan unveiled that the anti-graft organizations were bullying the governors.

He stated, “The All Progressives Congress is using anti-graft agencies to blackmail some of the governors. Our governors, in the last three and half years, have suffered untold harassments in the hands of the APC and its government.”

“They have been harassed and intimidated, but I want you to know that their willpower is very strong and as such, they cannot be intimidated into submission. The governors are determined to support the party and they will continue to do that.”


Ologbondiyan likewise said the PDP was putting weight on the Independent National Electoral Commission to allow global & nearby eyewitnesses access to its circumstance room amid the poll.

He said the move is necessary after the unwillingness of President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the revised 2018 Electoral Act.

The PDP publicity secretary likewise affirmed that the arrangement to make extra surveying units for Internally Displaced Persons would not fill in as it is a method to fix the poll.

“We are saying that since President Buhari has refused to sign the amended 2018 Electoral Act where transmission of results was included, let observers participate in the process. We have not seen anything that is bad in that and we would insist on it,” he stated.

He revealed that the PDP would not acknowledge any arrangement to fix the 2019 general poll, claiming that sensors from accross the nation suggest that President Buhari probably won’t win the presidential race.
