Few days after the supplementary election in Kano State, over 100 lawyers have promised to stand for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Abba Kabir Yusuf to challenge the current governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje in court.
The development was revealed by Senator Herssern Umar, chairman Kwankwasiyya Red Cap Rangers, International Movement for Justice.
Umar while speaking on the supplementary election which took place on the 23rd of March stated that almost all polling units experienced thuggery, vote-buying, lost of lives and other election misconduct.
He stated that the lawyers who voluntarily dedicate themselves are ready to challenged the victory of Ganduje in court.
The lawyer described the victory of the Governor as a stolen mandate and abuse of democracy.
Recall that Abba Kabir-Yusuf shortly after the declaration of the election results rejected the result of the election.
Governor Umar Ganduje of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won the keenly contested poll with a total difference of 8,892 votes.
While reacting to the result through his spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, he said he and his party will challenge the electoral process in court.
